Pakistan Vs New Zealand ODI Tournament is not the Part of Super League
The ODI Tournament between Pakistan vs New Zealand in the coming week is not part of the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup, both cricket boards have announced.
The three ODIs starting from September 17 in Rawalpindi will be a regular bilateral series due to the unavailability of a decision review system (DRS).
Both boards have also decided when they will be ready for the Super League fixtures. The PCB Chairman said, "as New Zealand is coming to Pakistan to play two Tests matches and three one day matches in the 2022-23 season, so both the board's officials have agreed that this fifty over match is now ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 qualifiers. The Super League is a 13-member league that includes 12 full member countries along with the Netherlands and will decide which teams will be included in the 2023 Cricket World Cup. Hosts India and seven other teams automatically qualify for the World Cup, while the bottom five teams will need to play in a qualifying tournament. 10 points for each team to win, five for tie / no result / abandoned games, and zero for defeat.
